Zombieland – Trailer

Welcome to Zombieland, the latest ode to the art of the killing the undead. Your tour guide will be the insane(ly awesome) Woody Harrelson, who is re-assuming his famous position from Natural Born Killers. Riding shotgun in this horror comedy is Jesse Eisenberg, who is certain to have a bit more of a life changing experience than he did in last season’s Adventureland. Abigail Breslin (yes, Little Miss Sunshine), and the Superbad super cutie Emma Stone are also down for some zombie carnage that has been long overdue.

I’m gonna go out on a human limb here and say that Zombieland looks pretty original. Sure, the zombie genre is becoming a bit undead itself, but along with this July’s Dead Snow, this film should breathe more life into an area that has been recently more fun in video games (“Left 4 Dead,” “Dead Rising,”).

Also, contrary to the zombie movie roots, I don’t think we should expect any George Romero-like political messages. If anything, this film will educate us on how the most insignificant of household items can protect us from a zombie bite.

At the least, this hilarious trailer encourages creativity when in the face of doom. Show us the way, oh wise and wacky Harrelson!
