The Proposition! One of the best westerns ever created. This movie conveys the dirt and grime of the old west better than any western I’ve seen. In fact both times I’ve seen it I immediately needed a bath. It also amply demonstrates the classic clash between the wild frontier and “civilization”.

I guess “Priscilla Queen of the Desert” should also crack the top ten though I didn’t think it was great as well as “Breaker Morant”.

Honorary Flash in the Outback Pan awards go to:
Yahoo Serious “Young Einstein” &
Paul Hogan “Crocodile Dundee”

In fact should Crocodile make the list purely on cultural impact?

I knew that Proof would come up, I thought Flirting might too, but again there wasn’t room for everything.

I agree that Chopper is Eric Bana’s best performance, I just don’t think the overall film was better than what I put in my Top 7. Maybe number 8?
