If you have decided box office numbers equal quality, please remember this … In the past decade alone it is safe to say ticket prices have gone up $3-4 a piece. Also, 3D films can charge as much at $18.50 (in New York City). So yes, Avatar is insanely successful, but it also has factors that are helping it.
