Well, did you like Wolverine? If so, I want to hear from you. I thought the fighting wasn’t bad … and the compliments end there. Jackman didn’t even have the right swagger. X-Men: The Last Stand made $103 million opening weekend, and Iron Man made $99 million, so did X-Men Origins: Wolverine fail?
More importantly, I’ve seen Star Trek twice now, and like it. But I don’t think it will make $87 million opening weekend. It will be less, but I think in the end it will be more successful than Wolverine, which should be done making money after its third week.

I thought X-Men Origins: Wolverine was AWESOME. Can’t see why critics are so bitchy! Just 37% on rotten tomatoes? That’s ridiculous! But I suggest you to have a look at the USERS reviews on rotten tomatoes. They gave it a 64% fresh reviews, as for imdb, the score of the film is 7 out of 10. So I think everyone should blow those snobby critics and go and see the movie. Ok, it’s not Citizen Cane but is there anyone who would expect it to be? C’mon! It’s a hugely entertaining summer blockbuster, Hugh Jackman ROCKS once again as Wolverine, I tell ya, he nails the role, and it definetely worths the $10 bucks you’ll pay…
Oh, and it’s FAAAAAAR BETTER than X-men 3, if that means anything to you…
probably because it was leaked.
While X-Men Origins far surpassed the train wreck that was X3, it still didn’t give me that feeling of excitement X1 and X2 did. Having said that, I went opening day w/my two boys, paid the ticket prices, and got my money’s worth. Hugh Jackman’s love for the character that launched his career comes across in the movie, as always. He’s something to watch.
I loved Ryan Reynolds, and he needed more screen time. Liev Schrieber made Sabertooth’s more human-like persona work. I believed he wasn’t always monosylabic. Lynn Collins (loved her in True Blood) was lovely as Kayla Silverfox, and I did get butterflies when I saw a face from Logan’s future show up and lend a hand to mutant prisoners. Taylor Kitsch nailed Gambit, and as a matter of fact, the casting was great all around.
The story and some of the special effects were mildly disappointing, but I am an X Men fan for life. I can take the good w/ the bad and enjoy just seeing some favorite characters come to life.
If you wanna hit the movies, this really is worth your money. And, guys, having your girlfriends watch a sexy man kick ass and take names in a wife beater for a couple of hours could only help the after movie activities!
The movie was really good I had forced my girlfriend to see the movie on opening day which she hates, the movie does start of really slow for the first 30 min, but picks up and becomes mostly action for the last hour. The story line is very good, I liked the movie better than the previous 3, what I really want to see is a movie about Apocalypse and Mr. Sinster they need to job on the story line real quick
I saw it last night and thought it was excellent for the start of the summer movir rush. I really had no complaints except for how jacked up Ryan Reynolds looked after he came back towards the end. That oughta be a crime to make a man that fine look that scummy. Oh and the after the credits shot was kinda weak when compared with the jaw dropper of Mr X from the last movie. Loved the butt shot of Jackman. And does he have a nice butt. The action was excellent and I was very glad of what I got for my money. Especially with prices going up the way they are. Now if it had come out after Terminator or Transformers I might have been a little disappointed as I think those movies are gonna rock the summer, but as I said before, as a start of the summer movie, it was a good buy.
