Word has it that it was Beck. Sounds good to me – he’s done the show in concerts before, and his version is also appearing on some upcoming compilation. I didn’t see the end of the Oscars, but I’m pretty sure that’s who it was anyway.

Dear god,

What kind of bubble are you living in?? Miley cyrus has plenty of talent, it just seems people aren’t will admit it. First they don’t like her because she too goody two shoes, now they don’t like her because she acts her age.

The true core purpose of entertaining is just that, to entertain your audience, not your peers, not the critics, but enterain the majority of the audience. Not just a select few. Miley has done that. Your peers and the critics, are just a small faction of the whole audience. The Oscar have failed miseraby at recognizing the kind of entertainment and entertainers that have entertained, and only seem to want to hold on to the past. They shouldn’t be trying lead the people by telling them what is good and what to watch, they should be listening and learning from the audience.
