Taylor Lautner to play ‘Stretch Armstrong’

Ladies, don’t hold your breath for Robert Pattinson to play the evil arch-nemesis (who’s simply misunderstood), but Taylor Lautner will be extending himself for the lead role in Stretch Armstrong.

Variety reports that Universal has landed The Twilight Saga: New Moon star in the upcoming superhero adventure. It’s due out March 2012, and it’s reported that it will be shot in 3D. The decision to shoot something in 3D won’t be ending anytime soon. This will become the standard for all action and animated flicks, if it already hasn’t. Steve Oedekerk, who wrote Bruce Almighty, is behind the screenplay.

Lautner has two other Twilight films to fit in as well as Max Steel.
