Robert Redford's "A River Runs Through It"

Mel Brooks' "Young Frankenstein"

And, personally, I would have picked "Cinderella Man" over "Splash" for Ron Howard

how can A Woman Under the Influence make it onto the same list with the likes of Splash and Mystic River? You guys should probably just have listed all of Cassavetes' films and just called it a day. Mystic River....unreal.

While it may be too premature to tell, seeing as she only has one full length feature film, four shorts, and a television episode under her belt, Canadian actress Sarah Polley received a lot of critical acclaim for 'Away from Her' and still managed to make a profit despite its limited release. It will be interesting to see if she pursues a career in directing, or remains focused on her acting. If she continues to film her own screenplays, we may see some more quiet gems from this 30-year old.
