Inglourious Basterds interviews with B.J. Novak, Christophe Waltz, Mike Myers and Quentin Tarantino

The Basterds are coming, the Basterds are coming! And for the last time, it’s not called Inglorious Bastards.

Interviews with Tarantino, Myers, Waltz, and Novak

And if enough of you find your way to this post, I’ll be back on Thursday with more interviews from one of the best movies of 2009, and yes, I know it’s only August.

First up, Tarantino talks about the film and casting choices like Brad Pitt.

And since Tarantino is known for loving dialogue, whether he’s saying it or writing it, here’s Part 2 of his interview, with him talking about adding Mike Myers to the mix. Funny that he’s lost his voice.

Mike Myers (my least favorite casting choice in the film) talks about getting the call from Tarantino.

B.J. Novak … yes, the intern turned manager turned salesman in “The Office” plays Pfc. Smithson Utivich in the flick.

And finally, the man who gives the best acting of the group … unknown Christoph Waltz.

    I just had to add how I enjoyed Mike Myers’ interview on Letterman. This was the first time in 6 weeks I really laughed. you see, my husband of 32 years came home one day and decided he wanted to be with men, needless to say it has not been a good summer. then I heard Mike’s story of his summer in Fiji and his toe incident and I laughed until I almost wet my pants!! Situations can change what we expect out of life (or a summer) and Mike’s honesty about his injury and jokes about his mum and drinking jsut hit my funny bone! thanks for the laugh, I really needed it!

    To K.J;

    No, unfortunately not even Tarantino will explain why “basterds” is spelled with the error. According to him it’s one of those cool little movie mysteries and there IS a reason for it but he wont ever give it away. Personally I think he just thought it was a cool thing to do and has no reason beyond that.
