Sure, there were some bumps in the road. That can happen from time to time. Thanks to everyone for voting. This year 195 film fans decided the awards.

The Results of the 8th Annual Movie Awards

BEST VISUALS – SPECIAL EFFECTS

9.38 AVATAR 8.44 STAR TREK 8.33 WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE 8.16 DISTRICT 9 7.48 HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE 7.30 WATCHMEN 7.02 TERMINATOR SALVATION 6.79 2012 6.11 G.I. JOE: THE RISE OF COBRA 5.88 TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN

Final Thoughts: This is the rare case where you can say, "Really? Only a 9.38? Really?" Avatar ran away with the win, as it should have. It also finished with the second highest score of any TSR winners. Colonel Hans Landa was the only one to beat it out. Transformers finished at the bottom, which is a little rough. I assume many voters took the approach of ... "I couldn't tell the robots apart."
